4. Follow and record

Complete the checks before recording physical work. Follow steps in order.

  1. Open the empty bin

Disconnect the charger, remove the wand and tool, then hold the handle and pull the red lever toward you and upward until the empty bin opens.

Look for: The base is open before the cyclone release is used.

  2. Release the cyclone

Press the red button behind the raised cyclone and lift the cyclone out as shown. Keep it dry and place it safely aside.

Look for: Only the documented cyclone assembly is removed; no motor housing is opened.

Manual: p11 Emptying the clear bin; Cleaning the clear bin
  3. Remove the clear bin

Pull back the red catch at the bin base, slide the bin downward and carefully bring it forward from the main body.

Look for: The clear bin separates along its normal guides without prying.

Manual: p11 Emptying the clear bin; Cleaning the clear bin
  4. Wipe the bin

Wipe the detached clear bin with a damp cloth only. Keep detergent, polish and air freshener away from it, and keep the cyclone and electrical body dry.

Look for: This bin is wiped, not put in a dishwasher or immersed with the machine.

Manual: p11 Emptying the clear bin; Cleaning the clear bin
  5. Let the bin dry completely

Allow the clear bin to become completely dry before replacing it. Inspect the catches and the surfaces that will meet the body.

Look for: The manual requires complete dryness for the bin; it gives no 24-hour bin-drying interval.

Manual: p11 Emptying the clear bin; Cleaning the clear bin
  6. Fit the bin on its guides

Align the bin tabs with the grooves on the body and slide the bin upward until its catch clicks.

Look for: The bin is held by its catch before the cyclone is returned.

Manual: p11 Emptying the clear bin; Cleaning the clear bin
  7. Restore cyclone and base

Slide the cyclone into the body grooves, push it down to normal position, then close the base by hand until it clicks. Stop if either catch fails to hold.

Look for: The cyclone is down, the bin is secure and its base stays latched.

5. Keep your result

Record what you observed. A completed checklist does not certify that equipment is repaired.
